Legendary Open-World Game Gets Deep Discount...

While Sony hosting PlayStation Store sales promotions isn’t anything new, the company has launched a new PlayStation Plus-specific offer that heavily discounts many games for a limited time.

The PSN Store Summer sale early access is live now until July 15, and it includes AAA titles, indies and even DLCs.

Amid all the discounts offered, there’s one game that stood out to us given its stature and how low it’s avaiable now.

Out of the 200+ games discounted in the PSN Store’s PlayStation Plus-exclusive sale, the one that stands out is Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2. The open-world Western is now heavily discounted, and, unless we’re mistaken, it’s currently at its lowest price point on Sony’s digital storefront.

The only caveat? You have to be an active PlayStation Plus member to take advantage of this discount. Somehow, I don’t think that will be an issue for most gamers.

You can check Red Dead Redemption 2’s low price for yourself, and this is for the PS4 version, given the game has no native PS5 version yet. This also houses Red Dead Online, which gets monthly support from Rockstar Games.

While nothing has been announced so far, a rumor has surfaced claiming a PS5, Xbox Series X|S update is set to be released sometime this year. Chances are, this is something Take-Two won’t give out for free. If so, if you own the game already, the publisher should offer a cheaper fee to upgrade the game.

Don’t forget, the PSN Store sale that has Red Dead Redemption 2 at just $14.99 will be live only until July 15. Chances are, Sony will launch this PSN Store sale to everyone else, but we’re unsure when that will be, and whether the discounts will be as deep.
