This halfpipe is what you need to use to do the One Foot Japan trick. To do this, you will need to skate up and press left + circle circle as soon as you hit the air. The inputs may be different depending on what controller you are currently using or platform you are playing on.
If you are confused, make sure to check your list of tricks in the menu, specifically under the “grab” category. You will find the controls for a Japan there, and to do the one foot variant, you simply have to press the non-directional button twice instead of just a single tap.
